Our Team

A passion for helping people create and enjoy more useable space outside their homes, has guided Heath Bowman’s career and led him to found Southeastern Underdeck.

With 20 years of experience in metal fabrication and over 10 years of experience with new product integration, Heath has developed Southeastern Underdeck into one of the top companies in the building industry in the southeast.

Heath spent the beginning of his career working for MASCO and IBP, two building materials industry leaders. During this early phase of his working life he expanded multiple locations, added new product lines, and developed relationships with vendors.

In 2007 Heath was introduced to an underdeck system and started Southeastern Underdeck. He spent many years trying all the underdeck products he could get his hands on. In the process, he saw what he liked and disliked, and did repairs on many underdecks with problems. Using his knowledge of what worked (and what didn’t), Heath developed the Haven Underdeck system (Patent #9187911).

Heath believes that the success of Southeastern Underdeck is the result of hard work and relationships that have been developed through the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA), the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and the National Association of Home Builders. These professional relationships not only brought Southeastern Underdeck to new customers but it also forged key partnerships with vendors needed to integrate into the building industry.

Lindsay  Bowman is the CFO of Southeastern Underdeck Systems.  She has been in the business management and accounting fields for over 20 years. She studied Management with a concentration in Accounting at Georgia Tech. Lindsay has a broad knowledge of industry specific processes and has been instrumental in the controlled growth of SEUD since the inception in 2009 and before. Lindsay enjoys spending time boating on the lake with her family. When she cannot be out enjoying the water she loves to play and watch TV with her husband, children, and fur babies snuggled under her underdeck system.

Joel joined the sales team of Southeastern Underdeck in the Spring of 2014. He works primarily with contractors and deck builders in the industry, bringing them all the latest and greatest news and developments for future underdeck projects. His favorite part of his work with Southeastern is the opportunity to help people see every part of their home as a place where time can be spent having a good time and making memories. A lover of the great outdoors, creating more usable space outside the home is a rewarding part of that opportunity.

In his spare time, Joel enjoys creating artwork, volunteering with his church in Atlanta, and spending time with his friends and family.

Glenn Grillo joined the company in 2013 and focuses on residential underdecking sales. He enjoys meeting potential customers from all walks of life and says his work is very rewarding.

He helps people expand their living space outside the home and add value to their homes. He sees these new outdoor living spaces as great places for family time and memory-making. He is also proud to work for a family-owned business that delivers a quality product. His goal is for customers to say, “Thank you all for the outdoor space we always wanted and dreamed of!”

Glenn holds a degree in sports science from Anderson College and he enjoys water sports. His favorite outdoor activity is spending time with my wife and son in our yard and doing projects for our home. Glenn lives in Gainesville.

Air Force veteran Ron Crawley manages the workshop and ensures all the work crews have needed materials. He keeps the warehouse stocked, schedules warranty and repair work when needed, and manages home show displays.

Ron has been with the company since 2013. He likes it because it is a customer-driven company that delivers a quality product families can enjoy for years to come. He says a good day starts with knowing that all of the work crews have what they need to complete their work in a timely and safe manner.

He likes what underdecks provide to families. He notes that underdecking can open up a whole new world for family. “Dads want a new out door kitchen, the kids want a pool and mom enjoys having a new space to entertain and spend time with the family,” said Ron. “This company offers and delivers a cost effective way of turning unused areas and under deck areas into useable family space. People enjoy being outside and they just want to be comfortable.”

It’s no surprise that his hobbies include woodworking and yard work. When not at work or spending time with his family, he is usually getting flower beds and his garden ready for the next spring. But he says planting the garden with his grandson is his favorite thing to do. Ron says, “Fresh vegetables from the garden taste better when planted with the love of a child.” He resides in Nicolson.

Assisting customers is the primary responsibility of Holle Knox, who joined the company in 2014. She says a day at the office goes well for her, if she knows all of our customers’ needs are met.

She notes that underdecks are installed for a variety of reasons. Most people want to enlarge their living space or create an enjoyable area for relaxation and entertaining. Others have installed underdecking as a ceiling for a storage area, or created a dry space for a pet. Holle wants to help customers reach their goals.

Holle is proud to represent a quality product for a great company that cares about its customers. She holds a college degree, enjoys nature, and resides in Sugar Hill.
